Accessibility

Last updated: October 6, 2026

This page describes accessibility choices on the public eLaw Platform site. We aim for the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA as a target. That is not a certification, and the accessibility button does not certify the site. Automated checks (for example Lighthouse or axe-style tools) are not a full WCAG audit.

The accessibility button

A button labeled Accessibility sits at the bottom right of public pages. It opens a panel that can change how the page looks in this browser: text size, line height, letter spacing, word spacing, a readable font (Atkinson Hyperlegible), left alignment, high contrast, a dark theme, grayscale, highlighted links, highlighted headings, a larger cursor, a reading guide, stopped animations, and hidden images. The panel works with a keyboard (Tab, Enter/Space, Escape). Pages also include a Skip to content link.

Where choices are stored

Choices are saved in this browser under the name elawplatform-a11y. That storage is not a cookie and is not sent to our servers. Clearing site data for this site removes it, and Reset in the panel removes it.

What the button does not change

The button changes presentation. It does not rewrite a page, add missing text to an image, or repair a form. Signed-in product areas may differ from the marketing site.

If something is in the way

If you cannot use a page, contact us at admin@elawplatform.com. Say which page, what you were trying to do, and what got in the way. We will read it and reply to the address you give.
